ImageThe mission of the Office of International Programs at the School of Arts of Sciences is to enhance the University’s international focus and to support the development of activities, programs, exchanges and events that create deeper international and global awareness among faculty, staff, students, and citizens of New Jersey.  The OIP aims to increase international scholarly opportunities for faculty in humanities, social sciences, and sciences, and to expand international experiences for students.

The objectives of the Office of International Programs are:

  • Assisting SAS units in initiating international cooperation and partnerships, especially for cross-disciplinary research.

  • Coordinating new international and area studies projects and exchange programs with relevant SAS departments and centers, and with other Rutgers units.

  • Initiating and coordinating special events, conferences, seminars, and visits of international scholars.

  • Strengthening and expanding the international dimension of SAS outreach and service efforts.

  • Recognizing and disseminating SAS faculty international expertise and achievements.
