“Every time I welcome sick people at the center I tell them that the value of life is greater than the virus that they carry inside them. This feeds the hope of a person that suffers and is dying, and brings him or her back to life.”  What’s the value of life when you have AIDS? Why still hope?  Come meet Vicky Aryenyo and hear of her encounter with Meeting Point International, a Ugandan NGO for the care of people affected by HIV/AIDS and their orphans.  Ms. Vicky Aryenyo is a volunteer at Meeting Point in Kampala, Uganda, and featured in the documentary GREATER: DEFEATING AIDS.  She, along with Dr. Luciana Ciantia, co-founder of Meeting Point, Clinical Coordinator of the Project, increased access and coverage of essential HIV/AIDS services in Uganda.

Sponsored by Global Village, Paul Robeson Cultural Center, Women's and Gender Studies, College Ave Campus Dean, Center for African Studies, Douglass Campus Dean, Institute for Research on Women, Meredeth Turshen, and Monica Devanas.
