Cash Flow Fever

This short documentary examines remittances worldwide as a strategy against poverty. El Salvador is used as a case study and includes discussion of immigration, family repercussions, and the state withdrawal of responsibility for addressing poverty. The film has excellent up-to-date statistics that helps to underline the seriousness of the issue. This film is part of Life Series 5 Globalization and the Millennium Development Goals.

Film discussant will be Robyn Rodriguez, Professor of Sociology, Rutgers University.
