Program will feature Mr. Matthew Bishop (Chief Business Writer/American Business Editor of The Economist) as the keynote speaker and a panel of three individuals who are involved in international philanthropic efforts. Mr. Bishop is one of the leading journalists and analysts on the politics and economics of the new philanthropy. He is the author of a widely debated special survey supplement of The Economist entitled, “The Business of Giving” and his book, Philanthrocapitalism will be published in September (2008) by Bloomsbury. He is a regular commentator for the international media on the topic of philanthropy, and is often featured on National Public Radio and programs such as the Charlie Rose Show.
