The Future of White Africa: Reproducing Privilege on a Changing Social Landscape

A conference sponsored by the Center for African Studies and Center for Race and Ethnicity.  Three papers will be presented:

Kimberly DaCosta Holton (Classical and Modern Languages and Literature, RU Newark) “Angola Dreaming: Portuguese Retornados’ Post-Colonial Migration;"

Richard A. Schroeder (Geography), “White spots: South African capital and racialized enclaves in Tanzania;” and

David McDermott Hughes (Associate Professor, Human Ecology), “‘Playing the game’ on Zimbabwe’s white highlands.”

Julie Livingston (Deptartment of History) and Edward Ramsamy (Department of Africana Studies) are the discussants.
