Image You are invited to attend this workshop which seeks to explore the social, cultural, political and economic impact of World War II on Africa.  In addition, the workshop will explore the possibility of launching a major publication project that would result in the production of a text and supporting materials (web site, CD-ROMS, images, primary documents) that can be used in advanced undergraduate classes on Africa, the African diaspora, and more general classes on World War II.  A "Film Festival on Africans in the War" is also included in the programming: "Days of Glory - Indigènes" will be shown on Thursday, March 27 in Alexander Library at 8pm and "761st Tank Battalion" will be shown on Friday, March 28 in Milledoler Hall 100.

The workshops will be held from Thursday, March 27 to Saturday, Marc 29, 2008 on the College Avenue Campus.
